As reported by Church Executive, The Church Network recently celebrated 20 church leaders who earned the Certified Church Administrator (CCA) credential, a recognition of their commitment to advancing professional standards in church administration. These 20 new CCAs join over 900 others who have achieved this credential since the program’s inception in 1979, helping set a high bar for administrative excellence in church communities across the country. Each member of the 2024 class was honored at The Church Network’s 68th Annual Conference in Lexington, KY, where their achievements were recognized among peers and industry leaders.
The Certified Church Administrator (CCA) credential is awarded to individuals who complete a rigorous program covering 14 key areas of church administration. These areas include Human Resources, Information and Property Management, Strategic Planning, and Legal Matters, among others. The program not only strengthens church operations but also enhances each administrator’s skills to serve their congregations and communities more effectively. Participants complete a series of courses, a congregation-centered project, and an academic paper to meet the program’s high standards, ensuring that they are well-prepared to lead in their respective roles.
Denise Craig, CEO of The Church Network, expressed her pride in the new CCAs, noting their potential impact on their churches and the broader community. “Your expertise in church administration will make a significant impact,” Craig shared, emphasizing how each administrator’s skills would serve as an asset to their churches and the Kingdom at large.
